We always aim to provide realistic expectations. However, because some products rely on specialist manufacturing, fabric supply and international transport, lead times can occasionally vary.

Why Made-to-Measure Products Take Longer

Made-to-measure blinds and shutters are not taken from standard warehouse stock. They are manufactured specifically for your windows using the final measurements, materials, colours and operating systems agreed during your consultation and survey.

Because products are individually manufactured rather than adapted from standard stock, lead times are normally calculated from the point at which the final survey and specification have been completed, rather than from the initial deposit payment.

Our UK-made shutter range offers a more local manufacturing option for customers who want a faster-turnaround and more sustainable alternative to longer international supply routes.

Under normal conditions, our UK-made shutters are currently expected to take around 4 to 5 weeks from final survey and confirmation of specification.

• Typical lead time: approximately 4 to 5 weeks
• Manufactured in the UK rather than imported from overseas
• Travels approximately 107 miles to our warehouse instead of around 17,000 miles from China
• Reduced transport distance can help simplify supply and reduce shipping-related disruption

Imported plantation shutters may travel around 17,000 miles from China before reaching our warehouse, so international shipping conditions can sometimes affect delivery schedules during the manufacturing and transport process.

Made-to-measure curtains and soft furnishings generally require longer lead times than most standard blind ranges because of fabric sourcing, specialist manufacturing and lining requirements.

At present, we would typically expect a minimum lead time of around 5 weeks from final survey and confirmation of specification for most soft furnishing orders. However, ongoing disruption affecting international shipping routes in the Middle East is currently adding approximately an additional 2 weeks to many fabric and soft furnishing lead times.
