Intu Micro Pleated Blinds
Bifold doors bring lots of light into a room, but they can be difficult when it comes to choosing blinds. The doors fold tightly together, which means there is very little space for a traditional blind to sit without getting in the way.
Intu Micro pleated blinds were developed specifically for bifolding doors. They sit very close to the glass and fit neatly within the door frame, allowing the doors to open and close freely without anything protruding.
The result is a neat and practical blind that moves with the door. You can leave the blind in place and still use the doors normally, which makes them ideal for doors that are opened regularly.

Designed for Modern Bifold Doors
Many bifolding doors, particularly aluminium systems, have slim square frames and very little clearance around the glass. Standard blinds can sometimes sit too far forward and interfere with the door panels as they fold.
Intu Micro blinds are designed to solve this problem. Their slim design fits neatly into the space close to the glass so that the blind stays within the profile of the door.
This makes them a great solution for modern bifold doors where a clean, minimal look is important.
A Compact Pleated Blind System
Intu Micro blinds use a slim pleated fabric that folds neatly when the blind is raised. Because space is limited on bifolding doors, these blinds use a smaller 16mm pleat rather than the larger pleats used on standard pleated blinds.
This smaller pleat allows the blind to sit neatly within the frame while still providing privacy, shade and light control when needed.
The blind is supported with discreet tensioned cords so it stays in position wherever you place it, without the need for hanging chains or cords.
Pleated Fabric Choices
Intu Micro blinds are available in a selection of pleated fabrics designed to soften light and provide privacy.
There are both single pleat fabrics and a limited range of cellular (honeycomb) fabrics available. Cellular fabrics create small pockets of air within the fabric which can help improve insulation at the window.
Most fabrics also include a solar reflective backing. This helps reflect some of the sun’s heat away during warmer months while helping to retain warmth inside during colder weather.
Frame Colours to Match Your Doors
The Intu Micro system is available in a small selection of frame colours designed to blend neatly with most door frames.
- White
- Anthracite
- Brown
These colours work well with the most common bifold door finishes, particularly white uPVC or anthracite aluminium doors.

Things to Consider
Because Intu Micro blinds are fitted directly onto the door itself, they move with the door when it opens and closes.
This means you can leave the blind in position and still walk through the doors easily without raising the blind each time.
However, when the doors are fully folded back in the summer, the blinds move with them. This means there will be no shading across the opening while the doors are open.
