Showroom Sales & Home Consultation Consultant
Wokingham Showroom | Full-Time | Sales & Team Bonus
The Opportunity
We are a long-established, family-run blinds and shutters business, and we’re looking for a confident, customer-focused Full-Time Showroom Sales Consultant to join our team.
This is not a passive retail role. It is a consultative, customer-facing sales position for someone who enjoys understanding customers’ needs, recommending the right solution for their home, and guiding them confidently through the buying journey.
Although your primary base will be our Wokingham showroom, this is a varied role that also involves supporting our wider business when required.
Salary & Earnings
- Basic salary: £28,000 per annum
- Performance-based team bonus of up to £900 per month
- Five-Star Review Bonus, paid from day one
- £20 for every named five-star review
- £10 for every named four-star review
- Paid in the following monthly payroll
- No cap on review bonus earnings
Strong performers can significantly increase their annual earnings through a combination of customer satisfaction, operational accuracy and team performance.
Working Pattern
- Full-time position
- Five days out of seven
- Saturday working is normally required
- Primary place of work: Wokingham showroom
Travel & Flexibility
Your normal working day will usually begin from our Wokingham showroom. However, this is a flexible role and you will occasionally be required to support other parts of the business.
- Cover holidays and occasional absence within our Byfleet showroom
- Provide occasional cover within our Basingstoke showroom when required
- Attend customer home consultations where appropriate
- Travel between locations as business needs require
A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
Showroom Sales
- Welcome customers professionally
- Understand what customers are trying to achieve
- Recommend suitable blinds, shutters and curtains
- Explain products clearly and honestly
- Guide customers towards the right decision
- Confidently ask for the sale when appropriate
Customer Consultations
You’ll progressively learn how to:
- Conduct video consultations
- Carry out customer home consultations
- Measure windows accurately
- Recommend suitable products for individual homes
- Produce accurate quotations
Customer Follow-Up
- Respond to website enquiries and live chat
- Handle incoming telephone enquiries
- Book showroom, Zoom and home consultations
- Follow up quotations professionally
- Keep customers informed throughout their buying journey
Operational Standards
- Maintain accurate customer records
- Enter information correctly into our systems
- Follow child safety regulations
- Check measurements and specifications carefully
- Support showroom presentation
- Work closely with colleagues across all locations
Accuracy is extremely important. Our reputation is built on supplying the right product, first time.
Product Learning
Previous blinds and shutters experience is not essential.
We provide structured training covering:
- Blinds
- Plantation shutters
- Curtains
- Motorisation
- Measuring
- Customer consultation
- Operational systems
Training is progressive, allowing you to build confidence over time.
What We’re Looking For
- A full UK driving licence
- At least three years’ driving experience
- Previous customer service or sales experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Confidence speaking with customers
- A willingness to learn
- A calm and professional approach
- The ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships
Experience in showroom, retail or consultative sales would be advantageous but is not essential.
