The nylon ball-and-catch system gently retracts as you close the panel, requiring a slight push to secure and a gentle pull to open. This ensures the panels stay neatly shut in humid environments.

The 18 painted colours match the majority of our other shutter ranges, including the same six colours available in our entry MDF (Vazon) range. This makes it easy to maintain complete colour continuity throughout your home.

UK-Made Waterproof Shutters

We also offer a UK-manufactured waterproof shutter range, ideal for customers who prefer a shorter lead time.

This shutter is made from a blend of poplar wood dust, eco-friendly resin and a small amount of chalk. The composition itself makes the shutter inherently waterproof — not simply coated, but structurally moisture-resistant.

Cleaning & Care

Both of our waterproof shutter ranges are extremely durable and designed to withstand regular cleaning. Because they are fully moisture resistant, you can confidently wipe them down with warm water and a mild household cleaner whenever needed.

We recommend light, regular cleaning rather than leaving dust and residue to build up over time. A simple wipe with a soft cloth will keep the louvres looking fresh, hygienic and easy to maintain — particularly important in bathrooms and wet rooms where condensation can attract dust particles.

As part of the installation, we neatly finish around the frame using a moisture-resistant decorative caulk. This provides a clean, seamless look against the wall or tiles. In very humid environments, surface mould can occasionally develop on this finishing line over time. This is not part of the shutter itself, but part of the decorative seal.

The caulking can simply be wiped clean using an appropriate household cleaner. In rare cases where discolouration persists, it can be refreshed or replaced as part of routine home maintenance.

With simple, regular care, your waterproof shutters will continue to look smart, clean and perform beautifully for many years.
